NFL Week 6 Recap – Upsets, Injuries and Scores


In Week 6 of the 2017-18 NFL season, the Eagles continued to fly, as they beat Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers. Newton threw for 239 yards, with one touchdown and three interceptions, which was no match for Carson Wentz’s 222 yards and three touchdowns. The Eagles won, 28-23.

On Sunday, The Chicago Bears beat the Baltimore Ravens, 27-24 in overtime. The Packers lost their star quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, to a season-ending right collarbone injury, allowing the Vikings to take over, winning 23-10. The Redskins beat the 49ers, 26-24. While, the Saints beat the Lions, 52-38.

The Atlanta Falcons came out of their bye week and fell to the Miami Dolphins, 20-17. The Houston Texans beat the Cleveland Browns, 33-17, with their rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson setting a record for first-year players for most touchdown passes through six games. Tom Brady and the Patriots beat the Jets, 24-17 and The Cardinals beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 38-33, after picking up 32-year-old Adrian Peterson. The running back hit the ground running with a 26-carry, 134-yard, two-touchdown debut performance in Arizona, after just 81-yards and no touchdowns in 4 games with the Saints.

The Rams beat the Jaguars, 27-17. The Chargers beat the Raiders, 17-16 and the Steelers snapped the Kansas City Chiefs perfect record, in a 19-13 victory over Alex Smith and the Missouri team. After losing their star receiver to a season-ending ankle injury, along with several starters, the Giants managed to defeat the Denver Broncos, 23-10.

On Monday, the Titans defeated the Colts, 36-22.
