Nicki Minaj is making headlines again after taking to social media to call out upcoming artists for choosing white-owned record labels over, Heavy On It.
In a heated rant, she said, “Motherf*cker tell somebody they don’t want to sign with Heavy On It… But then they’ll go and sign with the white peoples. And guess who the white peoples finna call?” She said that the white-owned labels always count on her to get the attention of the Barbz.
Minaj also hinted at how many artists might not make the cut when Pink Friday 2 drops, making it clear that only true Heavy On It artists will have a spot.
In the midst of all this, fans have noticed that Nicki unfollowed both Ice Spice and JT on Instagram, even though the two are still following her.
Initially, there were rumors that Spice had signed with Heavy On It in 2023, but it was later confirmed that she signed a deal with Virgin Records.
