Nicki Minaj lit up Twitter this week with a string of posts defending her husband, Kenneth Petty, while tossing shade at Jay-Z.
In her first tweet, Nicki claimed “billionaires obsessed with my husband for YEARS,” before mocking them with a viral comparison. “Mad their chest looks like shriveled up ramen in the cup that’s been in the pantry for years,” she wrote. “No matter how much Tae Bo they take they look like a prune.”
The jab immediately set Twitter ablaze, with fans speculating she was talking about Jay-Z, especially since her history of tension with him and Beyoncé has been whispered about in industry circles for years.
But Nicki didn’t stop there. She posted throwback photos of herself and Petty in playful couple poses, suggesting others in the game have been copying their style. After a fan tweeted a side-by-side of Nicki and Beyoncé with their partners in similar shots, Nicki responded, “There are MORE. lol. Just like this one.”
While she never mentioned Jay-Z or Beyoncé by name, her response to Jay-Z/Beyonce comparison to her and Kenneth Petty was loud and clear.
