NLE Choppa and his ex-girlfriend Marissa Da’Nae are at the center of a public custody dispute over their young son, ChoZen Wone Da’Shun Potts.
The situation intensified when Da’Nae posted a series of tweets over the weekend, accusing the Memphis rapper of having minimal involvement in their child’s daily life while pursuing legal action.
“I can’t believe this b*tch is taking me to court about a child he doesn’t even call lmao I get so angry just thinking about this sh*t,” she wrote. “B*tch can’t even tell a mf when’s the last time Chozen been to the doctor or even been to a doctor’s appointment.”
Da’Nae further criticized Choppa’s familiarity with their son’s life and questioned whether he could provide any evidence of meaningful time spent together.
“He wouldn’t even be able to fill up all 20 Instagram slides of different occasions when he saw Chozen,” she tweeted.
When a follower asked about the custody proceedings, Da’Nae highlighted her frustrations with his limited engagement. “Yeah trying to take me to court for a child he barely see,” she wrote. “A child he had fasting at 1 year old. Saying a child didn’t need to eat 3 times a day. Kids come home starving.”
As you know, the two share daughter Clover Brylie Potts, born in June 2020, and son ChoZen, born in August 2023.
Their relationship began in 2021 and has experienced public scrutiny from the start. In September 2022, NLE Choppa confirmed their breakup, admitting that he was not ready to settle down.
