NLE Choppa Calls Out Complex After Exclusion from "20 Best Rappers in Their 20s" List [Video]

NLE Choppa is publicly calling out Complex for excluding him from their “20 Best Rappers in Their 20s Right Now” list.

The Memphis-born rapper, known for hits like “Slut Me Out,” took to social media to voice his frustration over the omission.

“Ya’ll got me f**ked up.  Go look at the certifications.  Let me know who beatin’ me, respectfully,” he yelled into the camera.

While Choppa may not be conducting tours and performing at award shows, he has attained several plaques.  Singles “Shotta Flow 2,” “Camelot,” “Walk ‘Em Down,” “Capo,” “Famous H**s,” and “Top Shotta” are just some of his records to achieve platinum status.  Several others have gone gold, including “Jumpin” and “Do It Again.”

Despite these singles, a massive following, and consistent output, Choppa’s absence from the list does not sit well with him.  The 21-year-old says the music industry does not acknowledge him because he refuses to “play ya’ll games.”

“Who been dominating this whole year?  In the male atmosphere?  Come on now. Don’t play with me, man.  Sold-out shows everywhere.  America, Europe, Australia, Canada n***a,” Choppa said, later adding, “I’m 21. I’m one year in. How you leave the most influentia n***a off?

Choppa further questioned Complex’s criteria and pointed out that whoever made the line-up was not well-versed in hip-hop.  Additionally, Choppa shared that NBA Youngboy, who came in at number 16, is the only artist on the list who deserved to be ahead of him.  Others include Cash Cobain, BossMan Dlow, and Sexyy Red.
