North West is stepping further into the spotlight, while continuing to experiment with music. The 12-year-old recently previewed a new track with her father, Ye, giving fans another glimpse into her growing artistic voice.

The song, titled “Piercing on My Hand (Ye’s version),” surfaced through a short Instagram Stories snippet where North raps, “Piercing on my hand, the other holding bands,” followed by, “No friends, just filter, you wouldn’t understand.” The bars land with confidence, signaling that she is comfortable owning her individuality.
Throughout the track, North mixes playful flexes with blunt honesty.
“Went to school for two days, then I got banned/Skipping school, yeah, I do it on the daily,” she raps, before adding, “Got some new rings, yeah, they’re so crazy.” She continues, “All my friends are hits, you know I’m not lazy/You’re so angry that I’m so mainstream.”
Her style preferences are spelled out clearly as well. “I’m not sure I’m crazy/I want more piercings and tats/I love blue hair, put it in some plaits/Put the music to the max/I want like a hundred thousand racks.”
The song arrives as North continues to spark conversation off the mic. She recently debuted a second finger dermal piercing after facing online criticism over her first one, sharing the new look on her Instagram Stories before posting a beat labeled “Piercing on my hand hardstyle outro.”
Earlier this month, she also appeared with a bridge piercing, another bold choice that drew mixed reactions and briefly aligned with her Instagram account going offline. Her mother, Kim Kardashian, has previously spoken about how experimenting with fashion can look different when it plays out publicly.
