Novavax is Newest Vaccine Company On The Block, Headed To The FDA For Approval

Another company has stepped in to provide folks with another option for the COVID-19 vaccine.

Novavax has entered the vaccine options chat, and it’s headed to get approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), according to Brooklyn News 12. The new fourth option is already supported by FDA advisors.

The company says the shot has a more than 90 percent efficacy, and kids under five may be eligible to receive it as well. The news outlet says it protects against mild to severe cases of COVID-19 infections, according to Brooklyn News 12.

The vaccine, which is already being used in Canada and Europe, will go to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for approval as well.
