A NYPD rookie officer is under investigation following allegations that she previously operated an OnlyFans account featuring explicit content, according to reporting by the New York Post. The matter is currently being reviewed by the NYPD’s Internal Affairs Bureau.
The officer under investigation is Dannah Battino, who joined the department in April 2025 and is still within the standard two-year probationary period required for new officers. The Post reported that the account in question included “dozens of raunchy snaps,” some of which allegedly showed Battino “getting frisky with an unidentified lady friend.” Authorities have not confirmed when the content was created or whether any material was posted after she became an NYPD officer.
New York Police Department sources told the outlet that the OnlyFans account was created before Battino entered the department and was taken down after images were reportedly shared among fellow officers. It remains unclear when the account was last active.
Under NYPD policy, applicants are required to disclose all sources of outside income during the hiring process. The investigation is expected to examine whether those requirements were met and whether the alleged activity violates departmental standards.
Several NYPD sources expressed strong opinions about the situation. One source told the Post, “She should be immediately terminated from this job,” adding, “There’s no place in this department for that. We are paramilitary, and we have to have some kind of standard to be a police officer.” Another source stated, “She needs to get out of the department. She shouldn’t be on the job.”
Before joining the NYPD, Battino reportedly worked as an FDNY emergency medical technician.
The Police Benevolent Association has defended the officer, emphasizing that the allegations do not involve illegal activity. PBA President Patrick Hendry said, “If she did not do anything illegal or anything that impacts her ability to perform her duties, then it’s nobody’s business but her own.” He also criticized the circulation of the images, calling it “shameful that her personal information is being dumped out into public view.”
The Internal Affairs investigation remains ongoing, and no disciplinary decision has been announced.
