The father of a woman who was found slain in a Staten Island park in 2019 has been extradited from the Middle East to face murder charges in her death.
According to The New York Post, the suspect Kabary Salem had been indicted in the October 2019 murder of his daughter, Ola Salem, 25, by a Staten Island grand jury on November 5th.
Sources said the NYPD’s Regional Fugitive Task Force tracked him down a month later on Dec. 3 and brought him back to New York on Friday.
The man fled the U.S. immediately after his daughter’s body was discovered by a jogger in Bloomingdale Park, in Staten Island’s Prince Bay neighborhood.
This is not Salem’s first time killing someone. The 52-year-old is a former professional middleweight boxer from Egypt who went by the nickname “The Egyptian Magician.” In September 1999, Salem killed his opponent Randie Carver during a match in Kansas City after repeatedly head butting the man.
