Taryn Manning, star of the Netflix hit series “Orange Is The New Black,” plans to sue over her November 2014 arrest.
Manning, who was recently arrested for allegedly assaulting her makeup artist, was also arrested back in 2014 for violating a restraining order against a former friend. According to the friend, Jeanine Heller, Manning sent her threatening text messages, including one that read, “I will kill you, bitch.”
However, according to the OITNB star, Jeanine’s claims are totally false and in fact, it is Jeanine that is stalking Taryn. Taryn says that her attorney explained this to cops and they didn’t budge, instead cuffing her and putting her in a holding cell for 3.5 hours.
According to Taryn the arrest was eventually voided, but the damage is done. She’s suing the city for false imprisonment and is seeking an undisclosed amount in damages.
