André 3000 Says His OutKast Era Was a "Great Time" But Admits a Reunion Album Is "Further Away" Than Ever: "Let Things Be"

Outkast is fighting back to protect their name.

André 3000 and Big Boi have hit ATLiens Touring, Inc. with a lawsuit, accusing them of using the “ATLiens” mark without permission.

AllHipHop reports that the EDM group has been selling tickets, performing, and promoting merch with the name, including a show set for February 15, 2025, at Atlanta’s Coca-Cola Roxy Theater.

The lawsuit says the EDM group used “ATLiens” to profit from Outkast’s famous 1996 album and song. The documents argue they’re leveraging Outkast’s reputation.

Outkast and their lawyers from Barnes & Thornburg LLC are requesting that the EDM group be banned from using the name forever and the cancellation of the mark’s registration.

They also seek damages for any profits made from this use and want their legal fees covered. They’re pushing for the EDM group to remove all online references to the ATLiens mark from websites and social media.

Outkast is making it clear they’re serious about keeping their iconic name linked to their legendary reputation.
