Pastor Michael Todd Finally Speaks Out After Druski’s Mega Church Skit Breaks the Internet [Video]

After a week of intense online speculation, Pastor Michael Todd of Transformation Church has officially addressed the viral skit by comedian Druski that many believed was a direct parody of his ministry.

The comedian’s depiction of a flashy, designer-clad “Mega church” leader sparked uproar across social media, with the video amassing hundreds of millions of views.

The controversy gained momentum due to Druski’s use of high-end fashion, smoke machines, and even a scene where he was suspended in the air, theatrical elements often associated with Todd’s modern preaching style. The situation escalated when AI-generated images began circulating, showing Todd’s face superimposed onto Druski’s body in the skit, leading many to believe the parody was a targeted jab at the Tulsa-based pastor.

Taking to the pulpit during a recent Sunday sermon, Todd revealed that he was initially unaware of the digital storm because he had been observing a hiatus from social platforms. However, the sheer volume of the conversation eventually brought the footage to his attention.

”There was a video that came out this past week with a few hundred million views. And some people were trying to link it to me, and so I watched the video. It was hilarious,” Todd shared with his congregation. “And it was funny.”

While he appreciated the humor, Todd pivoted the conversation toward what he viewed as a deeper spiritual issue. He expressed concern over the vitriol and division the video sparked among believers and skeptics. For Todd, the primary takeaway wasn’t the parody itself, but the way it pulled people away from their spiritual center.

”The thing I was most taken aback by was how much frustration it created in people,” he explained. “Like, I was literally watching people go back and forth with people, denounce people, and call people names. I stepped back for a second, I said, ‘Oh my gosh. All this was an attack on people’s lives of distraction.”

He urged his followers to look past the entertainment and recognize how easily digital trends can derail personal focus.

”You thought it was some attack on the church,” Todd remarked. “No, it was an attack on focus.”

Addressing some of the more specific claims circulating online, including the AI-generated imagery and rumors of a lavish lifestyle, Todd clarified the reality of his personal assets compared to the skit’s exaggerated wealth. “I had a few people tell me what was going on. And I was like, ‘That’s crazy! I don’t even got a Rolls-Royce,’” he said, laughing off the comparisons. “I didn’t know. Like, people AI-ing pictures and doing stuff. Like, I said, ‘I don’t remember being that big.’”

While Todd attempted to pivot the viral moment into a lesson on spiritual discipline, his redirection didn’t land smoothly with everyone; many online critics are side-eyeing the response, viewing his “distraction” narrative as a clever way to dodge the very real critiques embedded in the satire.
