PJ Washington Claims Brittany Renner Threatened To Serve Him At A Mavericks Game Over $35K Child Support Push

Dallas Mavericks forward PJ Washington is calling foul on his ex-girlfriend Brittany Renner, claiming she tried to bully him into a massive child support hike by threatening to humiliate him on national television.

According to new court documents filed in North Carolina, Washington says the former “Basketball Wives” star tried to force him into moving their custody case to California, where the payouts are much higher, by threatening to have him served during an NBA game.

The drama kicked off when Renner, filed for a major increase in support in Los Angeles back in September 2025. She’s looking to jump from $5,500 a month to a staggering $35,000, claiming she’s struggling financially and that the current amount is only about 0.30% of what PJ brings home.

But Washington isn’t going out without a fight. His legal team describes the move as “blatant threats” and “fear tactics” meant to scare him into signing over jurisdiction to California, a state he says he has no real ties to.

The most wild detail in the filing involves an email from Renner’s lawyer dated November 14, 2025. The email allegedly laid out a plan to buy expensive tickets, some over $2,300 a pop, to the Mavericks’ games against the Lakers and Clippers. The goal? To make sure a process server was sitting right behind the bench or courtside to serve PJ while the cameras were rolling. Renner’s team reportedly framed this move as a “last resort” to avoid extra legal fees, but Washington’s team isn’t buying it.

PJ’s filing argues that their 4-year-old son, Paul III, was conceived in North Carolina and that the couple only visited California once during their entire relationship. His lawyers are urging the judge to shut down the transfer, stating that the court shouldn’t reward this kind of behavior.

As of now, the judge hasn’t made a final call on whether the case stays in North Carolina or moves to the West Coast.
