Planet Fitness is extending a helping hand to communities impacted by the devastating fires in the Los Angeles County area.
First responders and residents affected by the wildfires can access the gym’s facilities for free, including showers, locker rooms, WiFi, and charging stations. No membership is required. The deadly fires that broke out this week have claimed the lives of five people, with the death toll expected to skyrocket. The area is experiencing a limited water supply and fire departments are stretched thin amid the quickly spreading blaze. Several firefighters have also sustained injuries while battling the terrifying wildfire.
Another company pitching in to assist is Airbnb. The short-term rental platform is offering free, temporary housing for people who have been displaced by the Los Angeles wildfires. Those in need are encouraged to visit Airbnb.org.
