R. Kelly Victim Says She Was Pushed Down The Stairs After She Found His Sex Tape With Aaliyah [Video]

Just when we thought we’d heard the last of R. Kelly’s deviant behavior, another woman dropped a bombshell about finding evidence that he abused Aaliyah.

The explosive final parts of Surviving R. Kelly premiered on Monday, focusing on the singer’s conviction and the aftermath for those who chose to speak up. In the first installment, a new victim named Ebonié Doyle revealed that the “Step In The Name Of Love” vocalist viciously attacked her when she discovered a sex tape that featured him with a then-underage superstar, Aaliyah.

According to Doyle, she met Kelly in 1993 when she was just 16 years old. She attended his concert and, afterward, met the singer. He invited her to his hotel room, and from that night forward, Doyle said he would pick her up from her high school. He was around 26 years old at the time. When Doyle’s mother learned of the relationship, she kicked her daughter out, which only pushed her closer to Kelly. The teen moved in with him, but the fairytale soon turned into a nightmare when he became controlling, especially regarding their sex life. During her account of their time together, Doyle says she asked Kelly about Aaliyah, but he denied there was a relationship. However, she would soon find a VHS tape that proved Kelly had been lying to her.

“The tape that I put in was of him and Aaliyah together. What I saw on that tape was he and Aaliyah being intimate. They were on the tour bus, and everything that I had asked him was confirmed on the tape,” Doyle confirmed.

When Kelly walked in on her viewing the video, an argument ensued where he proceeded to grab Doyle. Then, sheGrammy Awardammy-Award winner violently shook her and pushed her down the stairs.

“That shake sent me down flights of stairs, and I just laid there,” she said. “I just froze. That was the moment where I realized [how] to pick and choose my battles.”

Kelly was 27 years old when he married 15-year-old Aaliyah in 1994. He paid an official to obtain a fake ID for the young singer to have the ceremony. The marriage was annulled just a few months later, and it is speculated that Kelly’s motive for the wedding was his belief that she was pregnant with his child. Aaliyah distanced herself from him and took whatever happened between them to her grave in 2001.

Surviving R. Kelly debuted back in 2019 and has since become a cultural obsession, having played a significant role in Kelly’s 30-year prison sentence for racketeering and sex trafficking. The last three parts of the series will conclude the saga, which featured several victims who were sexually abused by Kelly, most of which were teenagers when the encounters began.
