Rapper Obie Trice was arrested in Michigan after allegedly threatening his ex-girlfriend and her family.
According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, the rapper was arrested in West Bloomfield on Thursday afternoon for harassing and threatening someone over the phone.
Curt Lawson, the deputy chief of the West Bloomfield Police Department, told TMZ that Obie was dating the woman, but after they broke up, he allegedly sent her threatening messages and began texting threats to her relatives.
Police say on several occasions, authorities tried to intervene when Obie showed up uninvited to his ex’s family home.
According to reports, Obie continued to make threats, prompting police to issue a misdemeanor warrant, leading to his arrest on Thursday.
Obie is still being held on a $10,000 bond.
