Tensions are brewing between Rick Ross and Remy Ma as a film title sparks a dispute over branding and creative ownership. The “Biggest Boss” film dispute is now front and center.
Ross, known for building his persona around the “Biggest Boss” identity, has taken legal steps after learning about a film with the same name set to release on The Remy Network. According to a letter sent by his attorneys, he claims the project includes unauthorized use of his music and trade name. He is also demanding that the project be halted immediately because of the alleged infringement.
Ross further argues that the film is creating confusion among fans, with some believing he is connected to the project. That confusion, he says, is already visible through social media reactions and public commentary. So for Ross, this is not just about a title; it is about protecting a brand he has built over time.
A representative for Remy Ma responded, stating, “Remy was personally unaware of the concerns raised regarding ‘The Biggest Boss’ and takes the matter seriously.” The statement also emphasized their long-standing relationship, adding she “would never intentionally engage in any action that could harm his brand or cause offense.
The film’s premise, centered on a law enforcement officer who turns a drug story into a rap career, has also raised eyebrows due to similarities to Ross’ own narrative. However, Remy’s team says she has since reached out directly and that the title has been removed while internal review processes are updated.
