Comedian Rickey Smiley dropped an urgent video on Instagram, raising serious concerns about the current state of our rights under this administration. He warned that when politicians say “Make America Great Again,” they might actually be planning to take away freedoms, starting with the right to due process.
Smiley urged his followers to tune into Joy Reid—especially her videos on slavery—saying they’re eye‑opening. He predicted there may not even be midterm elections, and encouraged anyone who can to secure dual citizenship. “Things are about to get ugly,” he said genuinely, “and I’m scared.”
He warned that if Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) can detain immigrants without due process, ordinary citizens might be next. He pointed to Haitian families, who are already being targeted, and asked, “Who’s next?” According to Smiley, these actions don’t discriminate by political affiliation.

The comedian also warned of white supremacist concentration camps and militarization on U.S. soil—describing weapons stockpiling and “real boots on the ground” while many of us stay “poppin’ fans.” He questioned what could happen if the president defied federal court orders, given control over the military.
