Rihanna To Headline Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show

This is big! Rihanna just confirmed she will perform during the upcoming Super Bowl halftime show with a post on Instagram.

The news follows discussions between the league, Roc Nation as well as the star and her team. The announcement was expected to come out Sunday afternoon.

Rihanna fans are still waiting on new music from the star, which the Roc and Nation member has been teasing about for over a year now. So, of course, landing the Super Bowl halftime show is awesome and maybe an indication of new music on the way.

TMZ learned the league has been in talks with another performer, suggesting there will be more than one performer on stage.

Rihanna turned down an offer to headline the 2020 Super Bowl Halftime Show due to her opposition to the way the league ousted Colin Kaepernick.

Allegedly Taylor Swift was also asked to perform during the upcoming show, but she passed because she wanted to perform after she re-records six of her early albums; two have been done so far.

Super Bowl LVII is scheduled to be played at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. on Feb. 12.
