Snackers, check your stash. A labeling error has sparked another recall on Ritz Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches that were shipped out looking like they had cheese inside.
Mondelēz Global LLC announced it is recalling 70 cases of the crackers after discovering some six-pack containers were mislabeled. The label said “cheese,” but the actual filling may be peanut butter. For those with peanut allergies, that small mistake can be life-threatening.
“The product contains peanuts,” the company stated, noting the recall is “out of an abundance of caution.” The FDA backs the recall and warns that the symptoms for those with peanut allergies can range from hives and vomiting to loss of consciousness and even death.
So far, no illnesses have been reported, but if you have these snacks at home, throw them out immediately. The recalled packages carry the UPC 44000 07584 2 and best-by dates of January 8 or January 15, 2026.
They were shipped to Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Missouri, New York, and New Jersey.
