The Jeffrey Epstein investigation continues to turn up unexpected names, and the latest batch of Department of Justice records has brought a famous face from 80s and 90s television into the Mix.
Robin Leach, the man who famously toasted to “caviar dreams” on Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, was named in FBI files containing a series of disturbing and graphic accusations. The documents describe a situation where a complainant alleged that Leach was a fixture at high-society sex parties and was involved in a violent encounter.
“Complainant claims to have video of high-profile sex parties, dealings with cartels. and having witnessed Robin Leach strangle a young girl to death at a party,” according to the unsubstantiated claim.
Leach, who died in 2018 at the age of 76, was never charged with a crime or officially linked to Epstein’s sex trafficking operations during his lifetime. However, the newly released paperwork shows that an unidentified individual told authorities they had witnessed the host at various orgies and claimed to have recorded evidence of these events. “Complainant claims to have video of high-profile sex parties, dealings with cartels.” The person also alleged that these gatherings involved dangerous figures and illegal activities that went far beyond the typical social circles Leach was known for.
Despite the gravity of the accusations, investigators were quick to dismiss the source. The FBI files reveal that after interviewing the individual and checking their background, the claims were deemed unreliable and lacked any supporting evidence. “Complainant was spoken to and deemed not credible. Additional research showed 3 separate incidents involving police which requested in mandatory psychiatric evaluations,” according to the document.
While the mention of such a prominent television figure in the Epstein files is shocking, the records show that the authorities did not find the “eyewitness” account to be trustworthy.
