Florida School Tells Students to Quarantine for 30 Days After Each Dose of COVID-19 Vaccine, Claiming They Could Infect Others

A school in Florida has allegedly made up a rule that vaccinated students must stay home for 30 days after each COVID-19 vaccine they receive, claiming they will infect others if they don’t.

Centner Academy in Miami sent out a letter to parents and students last week letting them know vaccinated students won’t be allowed on campus until 30 days after each vaccine shot.

“Because of the potential impact on other students and our school community, vaccinated students will need to stay at home for 30 days post-vaccination for each dose and booster they receive and may return to school after 30 days as long as the student is healthy and symptom-free,” reads some of the letter, from Center Academy.

Insider reports that the school also suggested that parents “hold off” on vaccinating their children until the summer “when there will be time for the potential transmission or shedding onto others to decrease.”

This isn’t the first time the school allegedly showed its alleged disdain for the COVID-19 vaccine. Centner previously pushed for its teachers not to get vaccinated and said they’d need to “maintain physical distance from students” if they did. The school says the rule for students was put in place as a prudent precautionary measure after much thoughtful deliberation,” even though it’s not true that vaccinated people could jeopardize the next person’s health in terms of contracting the virus.

Dr. Aileen Marty, an infectious disease expert at Florida International University, told WSVN that the school made this all up. “What kind of nonsense is this?” said Marty. “They made that up. That’s science fiction — not even science fiction because it’s pure fiction.”
