Serena Williams Gives A Glimpse Into Life As an “Exhausted, Stressed” Working Mom

Serena Williams wants you to know it’s not easy being a working mom.

In a post on her Instagram page earlier today, the superstar athlete shared a  photo of herself with no makeup, sitting inside a parked vehicle, holding her beautiful 2-year-old daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian, Jr., aka Olympia

“I am not sure who took this picture, but Working and being a mom is not easy,” Williams wrote in the caption. “I am often exhausted, stressed, and then I go play a professional tennis match.”

Williams also shared how proud she is to be a mom, writing, “We keep going. I am so proud and inspired by the women who do it day in and day out,” she continued. “I’m proud to be this baby’s mama @olympiaohanian. #nofilter #nomakeup #nohairbursh lol #justme.”

Many of her followers thanked Serena for her words of encouragement, as more than 340,000 people liked the post so far.

The tennis legend has been quite vocal about the pressures she faces as a working mother trying to find balance.

Last year she told E! News, “I’m always trying to ask everyone else, how do they balance? Because I’m not sure if I’m doing a good job,” she said. “I’m just trying to do the best that I can.”
