Shannon Sharpe’s $50M Sexual Assault Case Ends with Quiet Settlement

Shannon Sharpe is turning his recent viral mishap into a money move by releasing merch inspired by his “That’s My Michelle” phrase.

If you’re unaware, last week, the former NFL player turned podcast personality found himself making headlines after accidentally going live on social media during an intimate sexual encounter with a woman seemingly named “Michelle.” Despite the camera being face towards the ceiling, viewers were still able to hear what was going on.  During the live, Sharpe could be heard huffing and puffing while praising “Michelle” for her excellent skills.

Naturally, social media users were curious about who “Michelle” could be and whether she was a well-known celeb.  Many individuals turned into detectives in search of this mysterious woman.  Additionally, it didn’t take long for memes, jokes, and theories to circulate on social media.  As a result, Sharpe decided to profit from the moment and launched “That’s My Michelle” shirts.  They are currently on his Eight Four website, priced at $32.

“That’s My Michelle shirts dropped,” he wrote in an Instagram caption of a now-deleted post. “I told y’all to leave that lady alone, but y’all kept harassing Unc—knowing that man ain’t got but 1 good nerve left, thanks to Chad—so here we are.  Are you happy now.”

Nonetheless, Sharpe previously addressed the situation on his “Nightcap” podcast to clarify that his account wasn’t actually hacked, which his team initially stated.

“Obviously, I am embarrassed,” he stated. “Someone that is extremely, extremely private, and to have one of your most intimate details—the audio—heard for the entire world to hear, I’m embarrassed for a number of reasons.”

Sharpe continued, “I threw my phone on the bed, engaged in an activity. I did not know IG live.  I’ve never turned IG live on so I don’t know how it works and all of sudden my other phone started going off.”
