Skai Jackson is in the clear after her recent arrest for domestic battery, with the charges against her officially dropped. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office decided not to move forward with the case, stating that there just isn’t enough evidence to take it to trial.
According to the DA’s office, several factors played into their decision. Skai, known for her role as a Disney Channel star, has no prior criminal record. Additionally, the alleged victim, her boyfriend, did not sustain any visible injuries and has refused to cooperate with prosecutors.
The incident occurred at Universal CityWalk, where eyewitnesses reported seeing Skai in a heated altercation with her boyfriend. Security footage reportedly captured Skai pushing him, leading to the couple being detained by security until police arrived.
Despite the video evidence, both Skai and her boyfriend denied that anything physical occurred. They even went as far as to tell officers that they were happily engaged and expecting a child together. Still, Skai was taken into custody on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge but was released shortly after.
With the case now closed, it seems Skai can put this chapter behind her. As for the couple, only time will tell what’s next.
