Nike’s SNKRS App Has Received Nearly 12 Billion Bot Submissions

Nike reportedly received almost 12 billion entries on its sneaker raffle app.

During a recent presentation at the S23NYC office, General Manager and Vice President of Nike SNKRS, Lucy Rouse, disclosed that nearly half of the entries for the recent releases of the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Olive” and the Air Jordan 1 “Lost and Found” were made by bots. The total number of entries for these releases amounted to millions.

Moreover, SNKRS received close to 3.8 million entries for the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 “Reverse Mocha,” out of which almost 1.9 million entries were bot-generated.

Rouse provided reassurance that Nike has a bot removal success rate of up to 98%. To further prevent bot submissions, the company has introduced a “verifying submissions…” page after the payment procedure for its latest releases.

Nike has also implemented several measures in the past, such as SNKRS Pass, SNKRS Draw, SNKRS Flow, SNKRS Scratcher, and SNKRS Cam, to ensure the authenticity of entries.
