On Thursday, Snoop Dogg announced that Death Row Records was entering the cannabis industry with “Death Row Cannabis.”
Accompanying his announcement was a 22-second animated clip posted to his Instagram, which showed the updated iconic Death Row Records logo featuring the iconic prisoner holding a blunt.
Death Row Cannabis’ first product will be a cannabis flower, and the company will also provide pre-rolls with diamond infusions.
AK, a West Coast legacy cultivator and industry insider, is responsible for curating Death Row Cannabis, RS11, Studio 54, and Shirazi strains from exotic cannabis breeder DEO.
Several select Cookies California stores will be the first to carry Death Row Cannabis when it launches in-store next week.
Snoop is no stranger to the cannabis industry – in 2015, he launched the weed brand Leafs by Snoop in Colorado.
He told the Denver Post, “Since I’ve been at the forefront of this movement for over 20 years now, I’m a master of marijuana.”
