Sony Has Highest Grossing Movie Ever With Spider-Man: No Way Home

Tom Holland’s name is ringing bells in Hollywood, because “Spider-Man: No Way Home” has just landed at the top of Sony’s list of highest-grossing movies ever.

Apparently, it is not Holland’s only billion-dollar flick either.

The latest Spider-Man movie gave Sony the biggest opening this weekend, and when I say biggest I mean that it has ever seen.

In fact, it’s on its way to crossing the billion-dollar mark worldwide, TMZ reported. This is a big deal since no other film released during the pandemic has come even close to doing the same.

Despite the anemic movie industry only producing $4 billion in box office receipts– a big difference from the 11 billion in 2019 — ‘Spider-Man’ makes up for a quarter of the total.

This is the 5th movie featuring Holland as the star,  which crossed the billion-dollar level.
