Sources Say Will Smith Is Still Receiving Job Offers Despite Oscars Incident

Well, it appears that Will Smith will not be canceled.

Despite being banned by the Academy from attending the Oscars for 10 years as punishment for slapping comedian Chris Rock on stage, the veteran actor is still receiving multiple offers.

The Mirror reported that the Pursuit of Happiness actor was set to be “flooded with work offers,” industry experts claimed.

Marketing consultant Jeff Kelly suggested to the Daily Star that Smith would indeed take some time off, however, “there will be offers on the table from producers looking to work with him.”

Kelly also suggested smaller-budget films would target Smith because he believes the actor’s A-list name still holds value and that offers to more films will depend on the number of moviegoers.

Apparently, TV shows are also an option since Smith has been banned from the Oscars but not the Emmys, which is an award show focused more on television.
