Streamer Rangesh Mutama, better known as “N3on,” might be facing a stint behind bars in Dubai. The scoop is that he allegedly did some filming and live-streaming without the necessary permits. N3on and his girlfriend, Sam Frank, found themselves in hot water when Dubai police swooped in on April 8th, 2024, during their live IRL (in real life) stream at the Global Village.
Word on the street is that the couple didn’t secure the required filming permits, which led to their arrest and could possibly result in some serious legal trouble. This isn’t N3on’s first dance with controversy, either. The streamer has been in the spotlight before, notably receiving a temporary ban from the streaming platform Kick after accusations of making threats and other unsavory comments.
This latest drama in Dubai could see N3on facing up to a year in the clink. The situation has sparked a divide among his followers and critics alike. Many are shaking their heads at N3on’s disregard for local laws, especially given his influence and the size of his audience. Others are concerned about the risks he’s putting himself and his team in.
The incident blew up after a clip from the stream showed local authorities approaching N3on and Frank, but the video cuts off before we see how things panned out. So far, N3on hasn’t made any official comments on the matter. Whether this will be a serious reality check for him remains to be seen.
