Supreme Court Sides With Trump In Upholding Controversial Travel Ban Against Muslim-Majority Nations

—-blogged by @alyse.mone

The consensus is in and this time, #TheSupremeCourt is siding with Trump on the highly anticipated decision about the controversial travel ban against several Muslim-majority nations. The Supreme Court believes that the ban is “squarely within” the president’s authority.

The ruling can down to a 5-4 decision. The majority in the ruling decided that President Trump “Lawfully exercised the broad discretion granted to him under Section 1182(f) to suspend the entry of aliens into the United States.”

So what does this all mean? It means that if Trump thinks that any person or group of people would be “detrimental in the interest of the U.S.” he can turn them away for however long he deems necessary as well as suspend, set any restrictions, and deny access of entry to any other immigrants or nonimmigrants.

As a result, the Celebrity-in-Chief released a statement, with the Supreme Court on his side, he says the ruling is a ”moment of profound vindication.”
