Suspect Wanted For Fatally Shooting Four People In Ohio Captured In Kansas

A man wanted for killing four people across multiple crime scenes in Ohio on Friday has been taken into custody in Kansas, police announced Saturday.

On Friday, Stephen Marlow, 39, was charged with four counts of aggravated murder. However, he wasn’t captured until around 10 p.m. on Saturday after going on the run. He is now awaiting extradition by local authorities.

Marlow, who was considered armed and dangerous, fatally shot four people in the Dayton area. Eva and Clyde Knox were found dead in their home, and Sarah Anderson and her 15-year-old daughter were discovered a short time later.

Marlow then fled the area in a white 2007 Ford Edge SUV. The suspect was subsequently placed on the FBI’s Most Wanted list.

“We are working to determine if there is any motive to this horrible tragedy or if mental illness played any role,” Butler Township Police Police Chief John Porter said. He said this is the neighborhood’s first violent crime “in recent memory.”

Marlow had recently gotten off probation in February of 2020 for a conviction of aggravated robbery and aggravated menacing. Those charges came from an incident that occurred in a Dayton-area suburb in July of 2019.
