Taco Bell fans are getting a familiar late night favorite back in rotation, at least for now, as the fast food chain confirms the return of its long requested Quesarito.
Taco Bell announced on Wednesday that the Quesarito will officially be back on menus starting Thursday, December 18. The item blends a classic burrito with a cheese quesadilla, wrapping seasoned ground beef, rice, chipotle sauce and sour cream inside a warm, melty tortilla layered with cheese.
Originally launched in 2014, the Quesarito developed a devoted following before being shifted to online and app only ordering in 2020. It was fully removed from Taco Bell’s menu lineup in 2023, sparking years of fan requests for its return.
To celebrate the comeback, Taco Bell is offering a limited promotion for rewards members. On December 23, 30,000 users can score a Quesarito for $1 through the app during the brand’s Tuesday Drop. Outside of the deal, the item will be priced at $4.99 while supplies last.
The Quesarito’s return also taps into a viral sports moment from its early days. In 2014, an NBA Draft broadcast cut away to a Taco Bell commercial promoting the item during Nikola Jokić’s selection. Eleven years later, Taco Bell is leaning into the moment with billboards and a campaign tied to the Nuggets star. When asked about finally trying the Quesarito, Jokić reportedly responded, “No. It’s nice they’re finally apologizing. But no,” according to the company’s press release.
Joining the Quesarito on December 18 are Taco Bell’s Cheesy Dipping Burritos and Steak Garlic Nacho Fries, both returning for a limited time as part of the seasonal menu refresh.
