Tamar Braxton Defends Sister Toni Braxton For Not Holding Chrisean Rock’s Hand During A Prayer Circle [Video]

The Tamar Braxton and Chrisean Rock drama continues, with the singer shedding more insight on their viral fallout.

On Monday, footage was sold to TMZ, showing what led to Tamar’s background singer, James Wright, being punched by Rock back in November. In the clip, Tamar, her sister Toni Braxton, and several other participants in the show were conducting a prayer circle when Rock interrupted the circle, which visibly confused Toni. As the video circulated online, many began calling out the legendary Toni for somehow disrespecting Rock by not holding her hand when she started praying with the group. This prompted Tamar to defend her sister by sharing her own footage of Wright’s bloody nose and chipped tooth after Rock attacked him.

In her explanation, Tamar says she was unaware Rock was walking into the dressing room while they were praying. This startled both her and Toni. Afterward, Tamar says they all began talking before things got crazy and Wright was struck in the mouth. In the video, Wright shows his injuries and reveals that he will be pressing charges. It’s unclear if he ever did.

“Me and my sister meant no ill will to nobody,” Tamar shared before bringing in another staffer, Travis, to explain why Rock punched Wright.

According to Travis, Rock was upset over a misunderstanding regarding whether or not she was performing. Things only escalated from there.

Rock has not yet responded to the drama, but hopefully, this can finally be put to rest.
