Tank Releases “If You Were Mine” EP : blogged by @niksofly

Just in time for that special day, @therealtank released an intimate collection of songs. Covering five of today’s memorable love songs, Tank keeps it simple with only two instruments: his voice and the piano, played by Tim Carmon. Opening the compilation with the smooth title tack “If You Were Mine”, Tank sets the mood for what can be described as a sultry project.  Covering “Stay With Me”[Sam Smith],  “End of Time”[Justin Timberlake], “Someone Like You”[Adele],  “All of Me” [John Legend], and “Lost Without You”[Robin Thicke], the EP is simply amazing. Tank’s soul-filled voice takes you on a musical journey with acrobatics along the way.  The songs aren’t over done nor are they empty. Preserving the integrity of each song, Tank maintains control as he demonstrates his impressive range.  It is as if he singing directly to you.  The harmony is ear-gasmic. Tank’s voice dances on the chords of the piano making for the perfect soundtrack to Valentine’s Day.  It is velvety, sexy and delightfully beautiful.
