So, last night I attended the Love & Hip Hop ATL premiere party and as usual, I am the type to peep the scene and the people around me. I pay close attention to mannerisms, body language and things of that nature. With that said, I picked up on a LOT of things that I felt would make a great blog post. I would say I’m boiling the hot water for the tea, but bookmark this page and come back to it as the season progresses.
First thing’s first, Rasheeda is very pregnant, obviously. What I also noticed is that she and Kirk did not walk the carpet together together and when Kirk hit the red carpet he had a scowl on his face. He seemed to have a bad attitude, kind of like he didn’t want to be there. He also did not sit or stand next to Rasheeda for a majority of the night. He mainly talked to Mimi and the other males but that’s about it.
Trouble in paradise?
Chile, Mimi was on TEN during the Q&A portion of the event. I think she didn’t like the way she appeared on Season 1 and is desperately trying to prove that she is not some weak minded woman. Rightfully so, we saw how the show was edited at first to make her seem like a push over, but Mimi was doing a LOT last night. She was twerking, she was loud, she was reading Stevie J for filth every chance she got. The look on Erica’s mom’s face is priceless.
Che Mack is EXTRA and no one sees it for her. You may remember her briefly from the finale episode of Season 1 and she didn’t appear to be that wild from what I remember but last night honey, she was doing the most! Che Mack sat with Shay and Momma Dee during the premiere party. She was definitely on that liquor. She was loud, she drew attention to herself, she just wanted to be seen! I have a feeling that her entire existence on the show will be just like this.
Mimi was solo, no Niko or whatever. Guess that’s over.
Momma Dee did not show up to the carpet on the arm of her son Lil Scrappy. I suppose he didn’t show because he was trying to avoid those check garnishing questions.
Erica arrived with her mother and her very expensive engagement ring. Mimi spilled some tea on Erica by saying Erica and Scrappy were already married. She said it a few times, even said it would appear on the show, then she attempted to clean it up and say they WILL get married. Could it be possible Erica and Scrappy are hitched? Was Mimi taking jabs at Shay? Was Mimi just drunk? I vote all of the above.
Benzino isn’t here for Karlie Redd, end of discussion. Karlie also did not attend the event last night. I wonder if she won’t appear on the show much given that Benzino isn’t with her anymore. Then again, rumor has it her and K. Michelle are cool now so maybe they’ll have a story line together.
Speaking of K. Michelle, she was also a no-show. Given that she too is beefing with 90% of the cast I can see why. I heard rumors that she said she would not be returning to Love & Hip Hop. Obviously she is on the show BUT I can definitely see if she decides to leave at some point because no one on the cast sees it for her.
