More than 24 hours after Tekashi69 was denied bail in the criminal case over his alleged assault of a 16-year-old back in January, the Brooklyn-bred rapper is set to be released.
After a judge denied 6ix9ine’s bail, the rapper’s lawyers teamed up with prosecution in Houston, the city of the alleged assault, and convinced the team to agree to a bail amount. As a result, the rapper’s attorneys called an emergency hearing in NYC, and a judge granted him bail.
However, the new deal does come with rules and restrictions. Upon the rapper’s release, he will have to cough of $150k for bail, and then travel to Houston, surrender and pay a $5,000 bail there.
