Tekashi69 may be making bank with his countless Billboard hits but his extracurricular activities, which include social media beefs and nonstop trolling, seem to be costing his label a pretty penny, especially after last week’s incident in Beverly Hills.
Last week, the rainbow-haired rapper set up shop inside of a Beverly Hills mansion to shoot a music video with #KanyeWest and Nicki Minaj. However, production came to a screeching halt after gunfire erupted, as bullets pierced through the walls and rainbow-colored windows of the home.
Though no one was injured in the incident, 6ix9ine’s label, Universal Music Group, took a major financial blow as a result of the altercation. After dropping almost a half a million dollars to fund the shoot, with rainbow-colored windows, SFX, lighting and of course, salaries, according to TMZ, UMG will have to take the L, as there are no plans to reschedule or reshoot the video.
