Tesla has informed all stores and service locations that the company will issue two recalls.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found that 29,348 Tesla Model X cars could potentially deploy their front passenger airbags incorrectly during low-speed collisions.
Last week, a free software update included the remedy distributed to vehicles in production and pre-delivery containment as part of Tesla’s risk report.
In addition, the NHTSA made another recall after finding that 321,628 year-2023 Model 3 and 2020-2023 Model Y vehicles were at risk of reduced visibility in the dark.
The report claims that irregularly lit taillights brought on the problem.
This month’s recall comes after Tesla informed stores and service locations of 817,143-year 2021-2022 Model S and Model X vehicles and all Model 3 and Model Y vehicles.
According to the report, Tesla vehicles failed to comply with a federal motor vehicle safety standard that requires vehicles to chime when the driver starts the car without buckling their seatbelt.
Due to the number of recalls, an online database has been created so Tesla owners can check to see if their vehicle has been affected.
Tesla’s recalls were reported following the release of the company’s third-quarter earnings in October.
The report said that due to increasing difficulty in matching its manufacturing rates and costs throughout the second half of the year, its product orders had been distributed more evenly throughout its factories.
According to the company, “Any delay or other complication in ramping the production of our current products or the development, manufacture, launch and production ramp of our future products, features, and services, or in doing so cost-effectively and with high quality, may harm our brand, business, prospects, financial condition, and operating results.”
