The choreographer, actor, singer, and director graced the cover looking super sexy in a cutoff wife-beater and camo pants. The rest of her photos from the shoot are equally as hot.
“I’ve followed Maxim for a long time, and I’ve always felt like I should be on the cover,” she told the outlet. “So to actually get the call saying they want me on the cover really meant a lot. I was like, what? They want me on the cover? Okay!”
The multi-talented mom of two says she’s focusing more on film work, following up her turn in Coming 2 America with a role as Dionne Warwick in a forthcoming series. That role was the result of her answering a tweet from Warwick about playing her in a movie.
“It was crazy ’cause once I responded, she and her son immediately reached out, and we got on the phone and got straight to it. And now we’re at the development stage, and it’s so exciting,” said Taylor.
She’s also got a reality TV show with her husband Iman Shumpert premiering this fall on E! Entertainment Television. The show is titled We Got Love Teyana & Iman and aims to show the couple “taking” the world by storm” while juggling their family and professional lives.
“Usually, my lens is on everybody else. It feels good for the lens to be on me and my family so I can look back and know I did a good job as a mom, I did a good job as a director, I did a good job balancing careers, balance your love, things that are important and good,” says Taylor. “Life happens, and no regret in that. I love every bit of it.
