Halloween is creeping up fast, and if you’re handing out treats, you’ll want your house to be the go-to spot for the best candy on the block. To keep from getting egged or TP’d, here’s a list of the top 10 best and worst candies to hand out to trick-or-treaters this year!
The Best Candy to Give Out:
1. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
A classic for a reason, these are a favorite for kids and adults alike. The combo of chocolate and peanut butter hits the spot every time.
2. Skittles
With a burst of fruity flavors, Skittles are always a hit. They’re perfect for kids who love variety and want something chewy.
3. Kit Kat
Who can resist that crunchy wafer covered in chocolate? Kit Kats are easy to eat and super satisfying.
4. M&M’s
These colorful candies are a crowd-pleaser. You can’t go wrong with this classic candy that comes in a variety of flavors.
5. Snickers
For those who like a little more substance, Snickers offer a tasty mix of nougat, caramel, peanuts, and chocolate.
The Worst Candy to Give Out
1. Candy Corn
Some love it, but many kids would rather skip it. You might end up with a lot of leftover candy if you hand these out.
2. Tootsie Rolls
These chewy treats can be a letdown for many kids. They’re often seen as a filler candy and not very exciting.
3. Licorice
Whether it’s black or red, licorice is another candy that kids tend to avoid. It’s a love-it-or-hate-it treat, and most kids hate it.
4. Necco Wafers
These chalky disks are pretty much forgotten by most kids. They’re not the best choice if you want to impress the trick-or-treaters.
5. Raisins
Unless you want to be known as the house that gives out “healthy” snacks, skip the raisins. They’re not what kids are looking for on Halloween night.
