TikTok announced it is releasing an NFT collection called TikTok Top Moments. The first one is set to be released in collaboration with Lil Nas X.

The collection comprises six TikTok videos that will be auctioned off as one-of-a-kind NFTs or non-fungible tokens. NFTs are verifiable digital assets that can’t be replicated.

Lil Nas X was tapped to be the first celebrity to debut the TikTok NFTs, and it is set to go on sale on October 6. According to the video-sharing platform, the limited edition NFT will feature the rapper’s viral stop-motion video to “Montero (Call Me By Your Name) by artist Rudy Willingham.

Following Lil Nas X, creators Bella Poarch, Brittany Broski, Curtis Roach, FNMeka, Gary Vaynerchuk, and Jess Marciante will release TikTok NFTs.

The will be available on Ethereum blockchain technology throughout October. It will be powered by Immutable X.

TikTok said that proceeds from the sales would “largely” go to the creators, with the rest going to Immutable X.
