Ed Sheeran has another smash hit with his latest single “Shape of You,” but did you know that there are some other familiar names in the song’s writing credits?
That’s right, Tameka “Tiny” Harris and Kandi Burruss helped pen the track, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Fans who are more familiar with the ladies’ reality TV lives might be surprised by this news, but Tiny and Kandi have been behind-the-scenes on plenty of smash hits, like Destiny’s Child’s “Bills Bills Bills” and TLC’s “No Scrubs.”
Kandi took to Instagram to share her excitement for the success of the song, saying “Thank you for allowing @majorgirl & I to share in the success of #ShapeOfYou! #1 for 7 weeks!”
While Tiny shared a video twerking to the track, captioned, “In Mexico turning up to another #1 hit single that @Kandi & I was able to be apart of thx to #EdSheeran for making this jammin song he created “Shape Of You” & having the #1 album.”
Now, who’s ready for these ladies to give us another hit with Xscape?
