Tisha Campbell Says She’ll Protect Martin Lawrence “Til the Day I Die” Despite Previous Sexual Harassment Claims [Video]

Tisha Campbell is standing ten toes down on loyalty, and she made it clear that Martin Lawrence will always have her protection.

During a recent interview with the “Big Tigger Morning Show,” the conversation turned to their time on “Martin,” and Campbell didn’t hesitate to shut down anything that could spin negatively.

“Let me just stop you. Well, I’m a stop you, right? Never have I ever said a bad, unkind thing about the show, about Martin Lawrence, and I never will. I will protect him til the day I die,” she said. “I don’t care what people think about me til the day I die, and I will never say a bad or unkind word to any media outlet ever. That person needs protection, and I will protect him til I die.”

That stance hits different considering the history.

Back in 1997, Tisha Campbell left the hit series during its fifth season and filed a lawsuit against Lawrence. The filing included allegations of sexual harassment, verbal abuse, and threats on and off set. She also claimed his behavior became increasingly “manic and volatile,” including unwanted physical contact during scenes.

The case was settled out of court, and Campbell returned only for the finale under strict conditions. The two filmed separately, never sharing the set.

Still, time moved things forward.

Speaking ahead of “Martin: The Reunion,” Campbell kept it short and clear.

“Everything else is a personal situation that we’ve all healed from,” she said. “So we’re not even gonna talk about it.”

Lawrence matched that energy. “It is nothing but love with her and me. It’s nothing but love.”

And as Carl Payne put it, “every family has its drama.”

Some stories don’t need rewriting. Just distance, healing, and a little grace.
