Trump Asks President of China to Help Resolve LiAngelo Ball, UCLA Shoplifting Situation

Donald Trump has reportedly intervened in the Big Baller shoplifting case, where Lavar Ball’s middle son, LiAngelo, along with two other UCLA basketball players were arrested in China for stealing.

According to the Washington Post, Trump personally asked the president of China to “help resolve” the shoplifting case during a two-day state visit to Beijing. The Celebrity-in-Chief arrived one day after the young ballers were accused of stealing shades from a Louis Vuitton store in Hangzhou, the publication reports.

Upon Trump’s inquiry about Xi Jinping’s assistance in the case, the president of China promised to look into it, to make sure that the process was completed quickly and fairly, a source close to the situation revealed. The source also said that the player’s charges have been reduced and the “case is proceeding toward a resolution.”
