Trump has been receiving backlash for refusing to denounce white supremacy and instead telling Proud Boys to” stand back and stand by,” at the Debate earlier this week.
But on Thursday, Trump called into his friend Sean Hannity’s Fox News show to talk about putting the Proud Boys controversy to rest, once and for all.
“Let me be clear again — I condemn the KKK. I condemn all white supremacists. I condemn the Proud Boys,” he said, adding that he does not know much about the Proud Boys, but he does not support the hate group or what they do.
This response comes 48 hours after when debate moderator Chris Wallace asked him to denounce white supremacy.
While talking to the press at the White House about the outraged he caused, Trump denied any knowledge of the Proud Boys, and he danced around the denouncement of white supremacy.
Elsewhere in the interview with Hannity, Trump also decided to call out Biden, saying that he needs to condemn Antifa and apologize for his history on race issues.
