The White House is working overtime to shut down a wave of online speculation regarding Donald Trump’s health.
On Saturday morning, rumors began to swirl that the 79-year-old leader had been admitted to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, despite official claims that he was simply busy with a heavy workload.
The gossip started after the administration announced at 11:08 a.m. that Trump would have no public events for the rest of the day. This is a significant departure from his usual routine, as Trump typically spends his weekends at Mar-a-Lago on the golf course. With his second term already under a microscope due to occasional physical stumbles, the sudden change in schedule prompted immediate questions.
To get ahead of the story, White House Director of Communications Steven Cheung released a firm statement.
“There has never been a President who has worked harder for the American people than President Trump,” Cheung stated. “On this Easter weekend, he has been working nonstop in the White House and Oval Office. God Bless him.”
For now, they are sticking to the story that his absence from the public eye this Easter weekend is strictly due to a packed schedule in the Oval Office.
