The culture wars just hit the 50-yard line.
Conservative organization Turning Point USA has announced plans to host its own event called “The All-American Halftime Show” on February 8, 2026, the same day as the Super Bowl.
The move comes right after the NFL confirmed Bad Bunny as the official Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show performer. That announcement sparked major backlash in conservative circles, with critics complaining that his Spanish-language hits “don’t represent American values.”
Now, Turning Point USA says it’s offering “an alternative” for fans who’d rather celebrate “faith, family, and freedom.”
According to the organization’s official announcement, the event will feature a mix of patriotic themes and performances chosen by public vote. Fans can select music genres such as Pop, Americana, Worship, and even “Anything in English” a clear dig at Bad Bunny’s Spanish lyrics.
So far, no performers, venue, or broadcast details have been confirmed, but the company is calling for viewers to visit AmericanHalftimeShow.com to register interest and vote on what kind of show they want.
The project is also being seen as a way to keep Charlie Kirk’s legacy alive. After his passing in 2025, his widow Erika Kirk, has stepped up leadership duties at Turning Point USA. The “All-American Halftime Show” fits right into the organization’s mission to push conservative culture into mainstream media.
Still, many are questioning whether the event will actually compete with the NFL’s powerhouse production. Pulling off a halftime show requires millions in funding, major artists, broadcast rights, and the kind of stage setup only the NFL can deliver.
