Twitter Flooded With the N-Word & Antisemitic Posts Following Elon Musk Takeover

What is the world coming to? What many feared would happen is happening following Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter.

The social media platform became flooded with racist and antisemitic posts after Musk closed the $44 million deal to own Twitter. Soon after, he fired CEO Parag Agrawal, Chief Financial Officer Ned Segal, and other top Twitter executives, The Hill reported.

The Tesla and SpaceX CEO calls himself a “free speech absolutist” and is expected to take a much laxer approach to content moderation than Twitter’s previous leadership. However, he assured advertisers that “Twitter obviously cannot become a free-for-all hellscape, where anything can be said with no consequences!”

And while the platform has not announced any official changes to the platform’s content moderation, users reportedly have appeared entitled to push the limits following the takeover by using racist, antisemitic, and homophobic slurs.

One user wrote, “F*** N*****s and Jews.” While another what the n-word 35 times.

It didn’t stop there. Some hinted at Musk’s acquisition as the reason for the hate. “Soooo Elon bought Twitter, can I say n***** now?” another asked.
