Ty Dolla Sign has been arrested for drug possession after officials found marijuana and cocaine inside his vehicle, following a routine traffic stop.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, as Ty Dolla Sign, and six others made their way to Cellairis Amphitheatre at Lakewood for the Endless Summer Tour, where he was set to open for G-Eazy with Lil Uzi and YBN Nahmir.
However, officials say they smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle, so they launched a search. Officials then found cocaine and marijuana in the car and arrested Ty Dolla Sign on the spot.
According to The Blast, the rapper was booked on charges of possession of marijuana less than an ounce, possession of cocaine, and possession and use of drug-related objects. However, the six other passengers were released without charges.
Ty appeared in court on Thursday and was granted a $6,000 bail, meanwhile, Ty’s lawyer maintains the baller is “innocent and did not have drugs.”
